"The Rice History
Museume"
The first rice museume in Japan
Shindo-syokuryo was built up at the late of Edo era.
Its second floor holds "The Rice History Museum".
Owener has 120 of collections and almost every stuff, which
has anything to do with Rice in the history.
Exhibision of designed one cent coin used in the Meiji era,
rescue bag for rice used shortly after a war and variable things
with rice in each era.

Collections of Craftsmen's tools
The museum holds the largest collection of hand tools reflecting
the vanishing sprit of craftsmen as amassed over 60years by
Matashiro Kawanabe.
In the present age of mass production, this museum is breath
of fresh air.
